At Croda we are constantly developing new technologies and are leaders in inorganic sunscreen protection.

Over the last 30 years we have developed patented sun care technologies to deliver true innovation in the sun protection arena including a range of ground breaking inventions:

• The first to develop and market Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) dispersion technology which improved product performance, enhanced product stability and promoted ease of use.
• Solaveil™ Clarus was the first inorganic sunscreen dispersion to market offering true transparency on skin. For the first time ever TiO₂ could be incorporated into a formulation whilst providing an elegant skin feel comparable to that of an organic sunscreen.
• In 2010 we launched our 'award winning' technology Solaveil SpeXtra. It combines an exceptional level of UVA protection with high UVB efficacy, uniquely allowing the formulation of high SPF, broad spectrum sun protection products, using a single active ingredient.
• Our dedicated research teams are constantly working on new sunscreen protection technologies to ensure that our sun care portfolio continues to lead the field.
